Images carry clues, but no single clue can prove whether a picture is trustworthy. LumaClue gives you a careful photo-forensics workspace for examining your own selected images without turning an uncertain signal into a “real” or “fake” verdict.
Choose an image through Android’s system picker. LumaClue preserves its exact bytes in app-private storage, calculates a SHA-256 fingerprint, records the file facts, and creates a memory-safe analysis preview. The original image stays unchanged.
Review several independent evidence views:
- EXIF and file metadata, including capture, device, software, exposure, and location fields when present
- JPEG error-level differences that can reveal uneven recompression
- block-boundary patterns and local noise variation
- luminance gradients that make transitions and edge differences easier to inspect
- bounded copy-move screening for repeated regions
- exact-hash and perceptual-distance comparison with an optional reference image
Use the synchronized workbench to compare the original with selectable signal overlays at the same zoom, adjust overlay strength, inspect generated screening regions, and add your own case notes. Each band explains what it measures; exported dossiers carry the method versions, measured parameters, and detailed interpretation limits.
Keep a private case history, search saved reviews, retry interrupted analyses, add notes, and delete cases when they are no longer needed. Save an annotated PNG or paginated PDF to a destination you choose, or share a structured JSON findings packet with an app you select. Reports include the original fingerprint, method versions, parameters, completed signals, screening observations, analyst notes, and interpretation limits.
LumaClue is an educational screening tool. It does not certify authenticity, detect every edit, identify every AI-generated image, replace reverse-image search, or substitute for a qualified forensic examiner. Missing metadata is not proof of manipulation, and a highlighted region is a clue to review—not a conclusion.
All analysis runs on your device. The app does not require an account and does not transmit selected images or case notes to a developer server.
